Laura Korman, MD
Dr. Korman provides compassionate and skillful comprehensive gynecological care for women from adolescence through menopause and into later life. Her practice includes both routine and complex health care, office-based procedures, as well as minimally invasive and conventional gynecologic surgeries in the Operating Room.
She spent several years working on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona, which gave her the unique opportunity to combine spiritual and traditional medicine in her practice. That provided a foundation for her pursuit of integration of holistic medicine and a team base approach to health and wellness. She emphasizes the health of mind and body through nutrition, exercise, awareness and balance. Her goal is to encourage individuals to strive to be their healthiest selves and is an ever-ready teammate in this journey.
She was born in Okinawa, Japan, and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She got her undergraduate degree at The University of Michigan, and her Medical Degree at Tufts University in Boston. She came to Portland for her residency training at OHSU, and ultimately made this her home. On her time off she spends as much time as possible outdoors running, biking, skiing, and practicing yoga with her husband and two daughters.
