COVID-19 Advisory

Dear Patients,

We hope you are staying healthy during this very unsettling time.

As many of you know, Governor Kate Brown issued an executive order to cease all elective medical procedures immediately through June 15, 2020. This applies to in hospital and surgery center procedures, but also applies to use of any office visits requiring PPE (such as gloves or masks). The rationale for the closure is not only to contain the coronavirus, but to conserve all personal protection equipment (PPE). The order also requests us to donate all of our surplus PPE (gloves, masks, gowns) to the State of Oregon to ration to hospitals that may be over-capacity and low on supplies; as new cases of coronavirus is expected to exceed supplies currently on hand.

This effectively makes it impossible to provide routine preventative services and non urgent needs that require a physical exam. This actually makes up over 90% of what we do at Synergy.

As our movements become restricted to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we have had to postpone all exams. We have the capability for telemedicine service where we can video conference with you to address medical issues. We will bill your insurance for the visits. Our understanding is that most insurance companies are embracing telemedicine as a reimbursable option.

For those of you who have urgent or important needs, during this time of closure, please send a note through the patient portal or call our phone number (503 227 4050) and we will address the issue. It is our absolute prerogative to keep all of you out of urgent care or emergency rooms and we have to work within the limits now imposed upon us.

We ask that you continue to communicate with us through the patient portal or by leaving a message on our clinic phone. We will get in touch with you to schedule a telemedicine visit or make other arrangements if needed.

We will remain closed to preventative and routine office visits until the restrictions are lifted. We are in the process of cancelling all appointments through June 1st (this is subject to change). You may receive an automated phone call regarding this cancellation.

In health,
